Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk

The renowned Coast to Coast walk, devised by the late Alfred Wainwright in 1973, passes directly adjacent to Brompton Lakes on it's 190 mile route between St Bees Head in Cumbria and the village of Robin Hood’s Bay on the East Coast. The walk takes in three National Parks: the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors and is a wonderful way to experience the beauty of Northern England.

Why not try out the section right on our doorstep or, if you are doing the entire route, Brompton Lakes is a perfect stop-off point where you can recharge and refresh in the lap of luxury before embarking on the next leg of your journey.
