Yorkshire Dales Walks & Coast to Coast

We are on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and therefore close to the heart of some of the most picturesque walking country in the UK. There are plenty of walks and routes to choose from and the area surrounding Brompton Lakes is well known for the diversity of its routes, making it the ideal location for walkers of all abilities. Well-known walks in the Yorkshire Dales include the much talked about ‘Yorkshire three peaks challenge’ – for more information on this and many other routes in the Dales click here.

Alternatively, the renowned Coast-to-coast walk passes directly adjacent to Brompton Lakes, you can try out the section right on your doorstep or, if you are doing the whole route, why not make this your stop off point,– it’s the perfect place to recharge and refresh in the lap of luxury before embarking on the next leg of your walk and we now offer a lodge dedicated to one night stays. The path stretches 190 miles from St Bees in Cumbria to the village of Robin Hood’s Bay on the East Coast and was originally created by Alfred Wainwright.
